and no to various questions. Whether you want to perform in
front of large groups or just impress people in your own barn

Horseshoeing Basics: An Overview
The overall goal of this class Horseshoeing 101 is
to produce competent and confident farriers that can create
functional and healthy hooves. This will be accomplished by: An
in depth study of anatomy, A working knowledge of tools,
equipment, and shoes, Understanding the reasons and history of
trimming and shoeing, Learning how to create a balanced hoof
through trimming, Learning how to correctly shoe a healthy hoof,
Understanding the methods of corrective shoeing for structural
abnormalities, Evaluating a horse for structural abnormalities,
Assessing and treating almost a dozen hoof diseases and
ailments, Learn how to own and operate your own business and
Expanding vocabulary of horse terminology.
Equine Business Management
This class will provide students with a
well-rounded look at equine business management. Students will
be introduced to various forms of equine businesses. They will
develop a business plan complete with forms, budgets, and
clientele projections. This is an excellent class for those
currently running their own business or those that are
contemplating turning a hobby into a profitable business.
Horseback Riding Instructor Training for Children: How to Start
a Business -
This amazing course will take the novice
horse enthusiast, and teach them step by step how to teach
effective riding lessons to children. There is good money in
providing this service and even non horse owners can learn how
to capitalize on the market by leasing or borrowing horses.
Students will learn correct safety procedure, how to find and
keep students, and will be supplied a lesson plan for an eight
week course. Also included in the course are handouts for the
riders, waivers for liability, and general information necessary

Basic Information for the Serious Novice Horseperson
Because of their size
and strength, horses are often misunderstood by people who don't know
much about them. They often assume horses require little care - just
stick them in a field and they'll be fine. They also tend to
underestimate the safety aspects of being around horses - safety for
both horse and human.
Hoof Health - Hoof Conformation for Horse Owners
Although I am not
keen on trimming and shoeing formulas, I believe that there are some
important guidelines and landmarks that can be helpful in the assessment
of hoof conformation and in defining an approach to the trim and choice
of shoes. I believe the trim is of first importance in maintaining hoof
health and function. The proper choice of shoes and shoe placement come
second.
Grooming Horses & Ponies
Horses in nature groom themselves and each
other, with their teeth, by rolling, scratching on branches and other
objects. So it is no surprise that when removed from their natural
